Malamujér is a trio from Southern Ostrobothnia, formed in spring 2013. Their debut album "Red Flowers Don't Blue" was self-released in fall 2015. The band has been associated with terms such as "shogaze", "stoner" and "doom", and they attracted leftfield rock audiences around the country through their brisk performances. They also opened up for the Seinäjoki-based black metal psychonauts Oranssi Pazuzu.
Friends of band references might wanto to hear tht where their debut reminded of Mudhoney and Sleep jamming out in a pine forest, "Savra Vatnal" delves deeper into dreamy shoegaze. At times the sound has a lot in common with heavyweights like Ride or My Bloody Valentine, but also with Flood-era Boris. The result is refined and crisp, at times angsty yet eventually uplifting!
Savra Vatnal will also be available as a cassette release through HULINA RECORDS.
